Small things

Yay for small things. Miniorc, for the past two nights anyway, has slept a solid 6 hours straight. And there's a huge difference between getting 6 uninterrupted hours and 6 hours made up of 2-hour blocks. I also managed to fall asleep during naptime yesterday. Small victories, but they make all the difference.

Another minor happening: I went runnin! Only 4 minutes, and after those 4 minutes were over I concluded that I really need to wait another week or two before attempting to run again, but I am back. Woot! The mother-in-law has been kind enough to watch the little ones for an 1 1/2 each morning so I can go to the gym. I'm going to buy her sugar-free chocolate and a nice card because I feel like a real person again thanks to those outings.

I don't know how much I weigh this morning but a week ago I checked the scale and I had dropped about 25 pds. I gained a total of 40 and so I figure I have 10 pds to go. I didn't lose the last 5 pds with the Orclette until she was fully weaned so I anticipate the same thing happening this time.

The Orclette ... when I can hold her she doesn't want me to hold her. When I am occupied with Miniorc she cannot get enough of me. Sigh.

Damm is coming home for the weekend tomorrow. Happy happy joy joy.

And I am drinking fully caffeinated coffee again. I loves it.

So caffeine isn't passed on through milk?

Guildless.

Me and Wulfa are now guildless. This came as kinda a shock and with no communication from the deciding party. I'm currently looking for a guild for us. We are not "raiders" and will never be. We do research our gear and fights and in general our classes. We are looking for a guild that we can be a part of, chat with, and not be expected to raid or be on specific times. I think that means we're looking for a "social" guild. We are primarily alliance but once finances get squared away(aka my bonus arrives) we could possibly convert to horde. If anyone knows of any guilds that they would recommend please let us know.

The Cat is Out of the Bag

I wonder where that expression comes from? There is this fabulous book that can tell you, only I forgot the name of it. Next time I come across it I think I'm going to have to buy it. Anyway. I was going to wait. A long time. Maybe forever. I don't like people coming up and hugging me, smiling and saying congratulations, or asking me questions. But Damm was talking to his recruiter about insurance. And he mentioned something that he should've told the recruiter was non-repeatable, because 5 minutes later the recruiter told Damm's mother (I have no earthly idea why he's talking to her-I keep forgetting to ask). After that I had to tell my mother. We haven't told any extended family members because there are quite a few here celebrating Damm's mother's graduation and that would be the worst form of torture I can imagine. So yeah, I'm knocked up again :P And this time I'm getting the t-shirt. "It" is due August 11. I have not been to a doc...

Programming.

Someone enlighten me. I keep running into this idea with certain people I talk to. "Why are you charging me for this custom program? It has already been written for another bank. All of the work is already done." I've tried explaining that programs are like books. Even though you only wrote it once you charge it multiple times. I've tried explaining that custom programs are like our software product. You have to pay for YOUR copy, even though we've already written and sold copies to other people. The last person I tried to explain this to told me that I "shouldn't argue with the customer". /sigh This isn't a complex idea.
