Remorse and Bad-Bottom-ery

Aww we've been snarky and sarcastic a lot recently here at the OrcHouse. But thats the OLD horde. We're deffinitly new Hordies. Thrall hates sarcasm and Saurfang will split your head nicely with his axe if yer snarky.

Dear TJ and un-named Hunter(you know who you are), we're really sorry. Honest! Well I am. Wulfa's a bit... shadey... never know when she'll go all felrage on you.

And now to my next most interesting thing:

Someone recently used "Bad-Bottom" in a comment I read(past tense) on a blog I read(present).

Seriously? BAD-BOTTOM. As in wow did you see that Orc one-shot 'nyxia and solo Arthas? He's so BAD-BOTTOM.

Now I'm not one for colorful language...but BAD-BOTTOM is just ....hillarious... I've got this picture of Chuck Norris or Vin Diesel(sp?) as a baby running around in a diaper and a red wagon being all BAD-BOTTOM.

I'm gonna have to use this more often:

Dammy: "TJ too bad you just aren't a very BAD-BOTTOM blogger like me."

Dammy: "Wooot! 15k regrowth crit! I'm so BAD-BOTTOM! Fear my healy power!"

Dammy: "Man I wish I was a BAD-BOTTOM warrior like Herk. Then I could call Moon Melvin." (Although Melvin really is more of Ren00b's thing)
Moon(psst secretly I'm just a TJ fanboi): "UP YOURS!"

Hate is a strong word.

I don't -hate- videos and flicker and u-toob or things like that. Its just they look odd to me. To prove this I wanted to post a few videos of my own:

Here we've got a short clip of the Orclette dancing. She's so freakin cute when she dances. She does this half squat and then keeps trying to lift her leg up and tap her foot but has to emergancy readjust for balance. And as you can see she's grinnin like a banshee the whole time.

And here are a few pictures of our Wedding and of the cabin we stayed at for the honeymoon. I LOVE the view in picture three. Its just awesome.

And here we have a GREAT Julie whatsits video that TJ has never seen and its got this song...this AMAZING song that...well just listen.

Wasn't that amazing? Heck yeah it was.

See I don't hate those things you guys post. I just wish I could see them as well :p

Attention, Please

I had fun last night. Played for about 2 hours, chatting with guildies, killing stuffz. Most of the time I had a grin on my face-my guildies are funny. And I was having fun teasing as the opportunity came up.

It occurred to me that I might have gone a wee bit too far.

So, I'm going to apologize.

To a Certain Hunter:

It is not your fault your RL avatar named you after an ungraceful minivan. It would've been much cooler to be named after a BMW. But it is what it is.

I know that you were kept cooped up for a while, and that's probably why you got soo excited to be playing and pulled before the tank. But you've been out of the inn for a while now. Time to start settling down.

And I know you're a bit concerned about gear. Worry not. Keep this is mind, I know you may not have heard it before:
"It is not your gear that makes you a good hunter. It is the skill with which you play your class that determines the hunter."

And your trapping? I saw no problems with it, so don't be worrying about it. And mobs won't resist your traps forever. You gots to have mojo, and then they will love your traps.

And your DPS? It was a bit harsh to say that by squinting I could see you on the charts. You were much closer. But I was paying more attention to your pet, who's very cute, and says the darndest things.

So, in summary, take my teasing words not to heart. You are a fine hunter, and time will only even out the rough spots.

For the Ladies

I am sure you have days when you just don't care what you wear.

So you put on your usual garb-for me it's a cami, black, and jeans. Since the cami really isn't appropriate all by itself-for me it's because having the Orclette made certain measurements increase and cami's tend to show off that area-you throw on an old button-up shirt. And then you look in the mirror, decide it makes you look fat, and you tie the ends to reduce the billowiness.

A rather ho-hum outfit, in my opinion, but then you woke up that day not caring.

And you go to have lunch with your hubby. You open the cafeteria door and suddenly all male eyes are drawn to you. You surreptitiously make sure the cami is pulled all the way up. You mentally try to reconstruct what you looked like in the mirror-did you miss something funny? Failing to see what they're staring at, you wait for hubby. You ask him if he likes what you're wearing. He pauses, takes a moment to notice, and his eyes light up. He does indeed.

And you still have no clue what you did that day that you don't do other days.

I be rambly.

My laptop is back in action. None of my apps are downloaded yet so game play is a bit weird, but I have my laptop back! Squeal!

My family is evacuating Houston. Actually, my dad is putting the cattle prod to the rest of my family, as he is the only one who thinks they should evacuate. I happen to agree with him-just because the hurricane missed last time does not mean it's gonna slide on by this time. I really hope they don't have a 38-hour drive though. Mebbe it was 40? I really don't remember that drive. Houston to Dallas should not take more than 4-5 hours ....

The Orclette has been an absolute doll these past few days. I think it's to make up for a crappy few weeks.

I stayed up way too late last night. 10 p.m. I am so old ..... then again, I was up at 4:30 this morning.

Our local gas station has these wonderful fresh pastries that we've bought the past 2 days. So not in any diet plan that I know of. We've stopped dieting the South Beach way, instead I'm trying to prepare food that's "clean." Have you heard of Tosca? She has at least 2 books that deal with "clean eating." I like the book-some great recipes, some great ideas. And aside from those pastries we've been doing great ... :D

Beowulfa is lvl 52, and is preparing to lvl up tailoring. I think enchanting is going to wait-the mats I'll need will probably come my way as I quest through Outlands and have greens drop, so no sense in buying it now. I am having SO much fun playing her ... totally makes that 4:30 a.m. wake-up call worth it.

In a way, I'm glad my friends are peeps I've met through the internet/WoW. As it gets closer to the move I will, based upon past experience, become incredibly withdrawn and taciturn. I don't handle moving well. It shouldn't be as bad as the past couple of times since I'm not leaving friends & close family /whew. The point being writing posts and chatting in WoW don't require me to have a brave face, a nice face, a cheerful face. I can be in as bad a mood as I want and not offend anyone, unless of course I communicate it through typing, but then I make a point of not doing that (though I'm sure I've accidentally done so). Anyway, you guys are thought of frequently and greatly appreciated.

Elantris is now on my want-to-read-list. Once I dose myself with caffeine the Orclette and I might tackle the library. Maybe the store as well, we have very little food .... by which I mean food that I can eat without preparing it. I'm a very inconsistent cook-some days I feel like it, most days I don't. So having a ready supply of good-for-you instant food (hehe, does that even exist? Lean Pockets ftw!) is a must.

Dear God, may I please have a friend when I move to New Mexico? kk thanks. 2 years is a really long time to not have a close friend live nearby. Sometimes you really need someone to be crazy with, and Damm and I just can't do it right now because of the Orclette. We're too responsible for our own good :P

Rambliness shall come to an end now. Most of my posts have been rambly ... I attribute it to lack of people to talk to and lots of stuff to say. You know, I'm not sure I would know how to act if I had a real live girlfriend next door. It's been too long.

Tick 1: So wow, today I told my supervisor that my last day would be 10/28/08. Now to start gearing up for the move and life in New Mexico.

Tick 2: Last night I gained level 64. Yay. I'm actually looking forwards to the sporeggar quests. They look fun. Loving my T1 shoulders. Thanks SD.

Tick3: Orclette now says Hai and Bai. Like that...not quite a crisp "Hi". Incredibly cute.

Tick4: Got the laptop back monday. Warranty saved me 385$. Hardrive died.

Tick5: So level 64 only took about 12 hours playtime. I should be 70 in 3 days playtime yay.

Tick 6: Wulfa's downloading patch updates for WoW now. We'll do addons tonight and then the laptop will be running again.

Lifebloom!: I'm starting the freakout/get excited phase of moving. Turning in your notice is so rather final. Ready...Set... BOOM go go go go go pack fast, make arrangements, sell stuff, throw away stuff, tell everyone.

Recast: Oh A&F, I read Elantris about 6-7 years ago and loved it. Although for some reason I have a -real- hard time remembering the details which is abnormal for me and fiction books. I'll have to re-read it I guess.

Small change

Temporarily testing a new section on the right. It is a list of all of the blogs I follow on a regular basis. This means I at least glance at their stuff daily. My reader is usually completely read by the end of the day. Although a lot of the articles I skim.

Oh bother. All shaman blogs were in a folder called "shaman" they weren't showing up on the list. Fixing this. Sorry Slig :(

So out of it ....

I'm going to have a ton of catching up to do on my reader. I feel very disconnected. But our laptop is back, we didn't have to pay a thing for it's repair, and sometime tomorrow I should be able to play WoW on it once again.

My brain really isn't coming up with anything to blog about lately. Well, that's not true, but by the time I have a moment to get on the computer my brilliant ideas are gone. I've been trying lately to spend more time with the Orclette-I'm always with her but I'm frequently not really paying attention. In the past she's been content with merely having me nearby but now she wants me to play with her. I'm not a playing type of person. Blocks are beyond me. Handing me something to only take it back seconds later confuzzles me. But, she will not always be in this stage. Soon enough she will be able to run around with me visiting bookstores, going to theater/movie, taking horseback riding lessons, archery, fencing, in short, all the things a highborn lady would do, as Damm remarked earlier today (if you put different names to a couple of those activities).

In addition to thinking about moving, planning it out, and dreading it (the actual process is no fun) I've had the urge to go back and read some of my favorite books of all time. I downed the last 3 books of Harry Potter-I always like to read them when it's raining. Makes me think of Hogwarts, Gryffindor Tower, and I get warm fuzzies.

I read the first Robert Jordan book and enjoyed it. I asked Damm what happens to the characters introduced in the first book (I'm one of those people that read the ending, wikipedia the movie before I see it, etc. It in no way diminishes my enjoyment of the said book/movie). He proceded to tell me all about Rand, Perrin, and Matt. I had to interrupt him. I don't really care about them. I wanted to know about Ninaeve, Egwene, Elayne, and the rest of the Aes Sedai. :D

I have revisited my Barbara Michael fave's. She's also Elizabeth Peters, but as Michaels she writes supernatural thrillers, not too scary, but not dull. Although I prefer not to read them at night. And if you have never read her Amelia Peabody books and have a liking for mystery you MUST check that series out. I adore it, as does my mom. We both fancy ourselves Amelia :D

I might devour Sherlock Holmes, especially if it rains again this week.

Ummm ..... that's really all I've read in the past couple of weeks. I'm trying really really hard not to buy new books at the moment, since we're moving and all. It is such a hardship.

My Beowulfa is lvl 50. Her enchanting and tailoring are at 300. She's poised to tackle the Crater and Felwood, finish up the Blasted Lands, and possibly Azshara. I've been waking up early to get 2 solid hours in the morning playing her. It's worked out really really well-I've been able to focus and get quite a bit accomplished. I've been grinding my jaw during these sessions, however, so I think I need to loosen up just a bit ... I'm hoping to have her at 60 within 2 weeks. The way she's going I'll soon be able to quest with Damm's druid, which I think will be fun.

Wulfa has new gems, a new ring, and the fist weapon that drops from the bear dude in ZA. She also has been completely spoiling Beowulfa gold-wise and needs to start doing dailies .. fortunately I enjoy doing the Netherwing ones so I think I'll start throwing in a bit of time there. Beo has expressed a desire for epic flight once she hits 70.

Well, this Wulf is exhausted from spending the entire day doing moving stuff. We forgot to change the Orclette's diaper-as a result when we got home she was dripping. /shameface. But we recieved good news on UHaul prices, my new glasses will be here soon, we got a good price on the few used books we were able to part with, and we had an awesome experience at Chick-Fil-A. They have this salad with fruit, grilled chicken, and lots of veggies-absolutely scrumptious, especially if you chase it down with an icedream and waffle fries :D Oh yeah, I was trying to sign off. Laters.
