Grrrrrr

I hate 6:30 a.m. classes. I don't have one, but Damm does, and we only have 1 car, so guess who drives him? Guess who gets to get up at 5 a.m.? That's right, the Orclette. This morning was absolutely miserable-I couldn't put her down without righteous screaming ensuing. There is hope-Damm's parents have offered the use of their little brown car and in the future Damm will be driving himself. Besides this morning everything has been going great. No internet yet .... we'll call them eventually. All the students look so young, so fresh out of highschool. Makes us both feel really, really old. I think I have a handle on all the homework I'll need to do. Damm is a bit concerned-he's shooting for a 4.0 and he recently discovered that life in ROTC is a bunch of "volunteer" activities. Apparently they're understanding if you really can't make it, which is good for us. I am considering taking another 12 hours next semester. That's right after El

School is here

We woke up at 5 a.m. this morning in our new digs. The bedroom was warm thanks to a space heater. The rest of the apartment was just a wee bit warmer than the 20 something degrees it was outside. Gas should be turned on today so we won't have repeats of extreme coldness. We dragged ourselves and Bambi out to the car, experimented with ways of tying Bambi up because she expressed a desire to ride right beside the driver, and headed off for the campus. Damm has PE with his ROTC group MWF starting at 7. Then I drove for only the second time in Las Cruces and locomoted Orclette, Bambi, and meself over to the grandparents. There we luxuriated in warmth and comfort until now, when I remembered that Damm told me to write a post. Moon and I shall be leaving soon, a little bit earlier than necessary but I want to preview where all my classes are. Then I'll meet Damm for lunch and then we'll trot off to Spanish. After that I'll pick up Bambi and the Orclette and then head back to

74?

My druid tagged 74. Don't worry ruune I plan to have a "susan" alt to 80 before I leave you all for the rest of the year. Today I did pushups(see hundredpushups.com ) and only ran one lap(1.1 miles*). My time was: 1lap 11:19. Still improving. Today my legs actually felt pushed and for the mostpart my lungs felt fine. Wish I had brought water with me I think I could have tagged 11:00. Oddly we are not moving into to our new apartments today or tonight. Oddly because we have all the money for it. Turns out they "forgot" to start the application process. This morning they started.... -sigh-. So instead we bought books and notebooks. Wulfa's half of the loans still haven't come in but I think thats just because the school is slow like pumpkins. Wednesday I have school from 7am-10:30am, then from 12:30pm-2:30pm then from 6pm-8:30pm. Whee :p Really can't wait. Well see everyone around. *Turns out the "mile" I've been running is 1

Happenings

Today we might move. I say might because we have yet to hear back from the apartment compex. They were a bit leary about neither of us had a job but were full-time students. We offered to pay 6 months at a time and that seemed to make them happier. It also depends on our student loans being refunded-they charged both Damm and myself out-of-state prices. Damm shouldn't have been charged in the first place, and the fact that he's now military means I should be in-state as well. We have to go the admin. offices today to straighten this all out. Hopefully we will speak with someone knowledgeable-the first time we were sent out with a waiver his commanding officer had to sign. He glanced at it, said he'd never seen it before and that Damm's enlistment papers should be enough. Here's hoping. So once we get all that straightened out and we have student loans in hand we will need to head over to the apartments. Assuming they're happy we'll start the process of movin
