Choices. Hard ones.

Yesterday I was craving icecream. And then cake. And then icecream again. And you see, once a week I'm allowed to give in to those cravings. So it was conceivable that I'd be able to have either icecream or cake that day. But which one? I posted my question on Facebook and my dear friends pointed out to me that there is such a thing as icecream cake. I confess I hadn't thought of that. Which is surprising given that I look forward to my birthday icecream cake every year ... Anyway, we went for icecream because Albertsons does not sell a smallish sized cake that the Orclette and I could devour in one night (BTW, she never gets that much-I'm the one really eating our treats) and still manage to move. But I think Walmart does, so next week we may spring for cake instead. Have I made you hungry? And you're possibly wondering why I didn't go for both? Or why I made this such a BIG decision? To figure out the latter two questions you'd have to live through eating ...

Advice needed

Ok, Wulfa is almost lvl 80. I don't forsee being able to do instances/raiding in the near future so ... what else happens at 80? Anyone have any good websites that'll get me started on the various dailies, factions, etc.? I did try a few searches but didn't come up with anything comprehensive. Thanks, Wulfa, Beowulfa, and all the other toons that shall soon benefit from Wulfa raking in the money :D

The City that Doesn't Like to Wake Up

I was scheduled to work this morning but apparently they had called me to say they didn't need me. They still have my old phone number on file which is currently in Damm's possession. I know I've updated it ... oh well. Less than 2 weeks and it won't matter. Anyway, I decided to go to the gym since the Orclette was at her grandma's house. At 7 a.m. in Houston and even Monett the gym would've been crowded, and starting at about 8 a.m. the older crowd would've started to come in. So I anticipated not being able to do my regular routine. But this is Las Cruces-the city that hates to wake up. There were more people there than at 1 p.m. (which is when I usually go) but you could not call the place crowded by any stretch of the imagination. So I had no problems following my gentle and not-sweat-inducing workout. Today I had problems keeping my heartrate down-I was still able to carry on a conversation (the other standard by which you can judge whether or not you...

LOTR

I decided it was time for a Lord of the Rings movie extravaganza at my house. The plan: #1. Watch all 3 special-extended movies #2. Go back and watch all the Appendices #3. Start reading the book again #4. Find my copy of the Silmarillion and read that again #5. If I'm still in the Tolkien mood buy more of his books and read them Of course, I had forgotten how scary some of the orcs might seem to a 2-year old. So I watched her carefully to see if she was scared. Apparently not-she didn't even notice the orcs. She thought the horses were cool though. We're currently still watching The Two Towers. I got to page 2 of the book last night but then the Orclette got interested and starting trying to take the book away from me. I've also Netflix'd all the Harry Potter movies. Got to get prepared. My brother Justin never read the series and is currently under pressure from myself and from his lady friend who is not his girlfriend (eye roll) to read them before the 6th one co...

The magic of chocolate

So I slept poorly Wednesday night. The hotel room we were in had the LOUDEST ac unit I've come across in a long time. And it failed to keep the room as cold as I wanted it. So I ended up waking at 5:30 a.m. and trying to turn on the t.v. without waking up the Orclette. Massive failure-she seems supernaturally attuned to my movements these days. So I really thought we'd both sleep soundly last night. Forlorn hope, as it turned out. Ended up out in the living room watching Gilmore Girls at 4 in the morning. With the Orclette. And we had chocolate. And suddenly, I felt like I could fall asleep. All was well with the world, God was smiling at me. The magic of chocolate. We stayed asleep until 8:30 a.m., a minor miracle. The zoo was fun, although the Orclette thought the other little kids were just as cool as the exotic animals. All animals were either "doggy" or "horse." Although she did figure out monkey. And she knows what birds are. But all other animals were...

Off to see the wizard!

We're off to Alberquerque to visit their zoo. Apparently it's top notch. I keep on having the refrain "lions & tigers & bears, oh my!" run through my head. Hence my post title. Erm, not a whole lot else to report. I won't have access to the internet til tomorrow night. Apparently Damm will be able to play WoW when he's in AIT so we're gonna buy him a new laptop. And we can drive him to Georgia and his AIT training. Ah, short and sweet. Catch ya'll later.

Totally Lost

My loverly hunter Wulfa is lvl 79. By the end of the week she might be 80. And I have NO clue what I'm supposed to do then. I'll research it, eventually. Along with this Dual Spec thingy, the various factions I can grind rep with, new types of flying mounts that I might decide I HAVE to have. /whew. I thought school was hard. I have yet to replace a piece of gear. No-I lie. I've switched out some rings on Wulfa. I haven't been able to do any instances and I don't forsee being able to do so in the near future so .... Wulfa's gonna keep her look. I did get a new cat. Somehow all of my pets got way behind in leveling so I picked up a new kitty with fiery eyes only a lvl behing meself. Her name is Loralei. My little siren that attracts all the big bad dudes to lure them to death (that being what the origin of her name is). In real life ... I stink at handling conflict. And especially conflict with Damm's side of the family. So, we're going to Alberquerque on...
