Land!

Loading your child up on Nutter Butter's before going on to a plane is definately not the smartest thing we've ever done. It didn't help that she didn't take a nap-she knew something was up. Had I been by myself I think I would've cried but having two parents to escort a not-yet 2 year old? Priceless. It wasn't that bad-only a few moments of screaming, and one of the two people whose chairs she kicked didn't mind at all (we effusively apologized afterwards, but one still looked annoyed). We did forget to bring a sufficient amount of toys, which will be remedied on our Sunday flight (I normally would've remembered but my brain has been suffering from pregnancy-itis recently).

And now we're in Houston. I love Houston. Disliked it when we first got here, although nowhere near the amount of antipathy I felt towards Las Cruces when we arrived. Today is celebrate Wulfa's birthday day and shopping for the Orclette (my mom and I are going-whee!). Tomorrow more fun stuff with the grandparents (my grandparents) arriving that night. We'll spend Sat. night and Sunday morning with them and then we have to take off-school calls and I have a test 9:30 a.m. Monday (bleh).

AND GUESS WHAT. IT'S RAINING HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love the rain. Las Cruces does not rain. They tell me there's a rainy season that lasts 2 months ... I don't think they even know what rain looks like. I think it's more likely that it will drizzle for 2 months. /cry. My longing for thunderstorms has already made me declare that the next vacation we take needs to be somewhere it will rain the entire time. Kinda silly, I know, but I'm not a desert person. I need green, rain, mebbe mountains, overcast skies, etc. And a second cup of coffee (whoo I'm gonna be buzzing. My mom has good coffee. Not decaf.). You know, I think that when Damm gets sent to the various camps he has to go to after graduation and his commission (at least that's what we've heard) I'm gonna come back here and live with my parents.

Tips for travelling with 2 year olds - wrap up lots of small things - toys, food, books, pens, anything small you can think of. Give one present every 15-30 minutes. Build the excitement by putting it off with 5 minutes of something to reward with.

Well, if Las Cruces is anything like Phoenix, you're going to learn very soon what a "monsoon" is, and you might not like it.

It's like someone upending an endless bucket over the top of the city for a good 20-30 minutes.

The Cat is Out of the Bag

I wonder where that expression comes from? There is this fabulous book that can tell you, only I forgot the name of it. Next time I come across it I think I'm going to have to buy it. Anyway. I was going to wait. A long time. Maybe forever. I don't like people coming up and hugging me, smiling and saying congratulations, or asking me questions. But Damm was talking to his recruiter about insurance. And he mentioned something that he should've told the recruiter was non-repeatable, because 5 minutes later the recruiter told Damm's mother (I have no earthly idea why he's talking to her-I keep forgetting to ask). After that I had to tell my mother. We haven't told any extended family members because there are quite a few here celebrating Damm's mother's graduation and that would be the worst form of torture I can imagine. So yeah, I'm knocked up again :P And this time I'm getting the t-shirt. "It" is due August 11. I have not been to a doc...

For the Empress and the Motherland

I finally got the gluing done after getting generic brand normal freakin original superglue. Gorilla glue foams and takes 30 min to dry. The guy at hobby lobby obviously misunderstood me or was a complete retard. I'm trying to give him the benefit of the doubt seeing as he was dealing with me in full on manic state. So I'm really excited about my new hobby and cannot wait to start priming and painting. For those that play I'm planning on playing mostly with pIrusk to start but eventually fessing up the money for a jack heavy Karchev list. Because jacks are awesome and -nearly- jack warcasters are also awesome. Anyways thats what Dammy is up to. Our blog has wavered a lot in focus from its origional WoW roots but that is life. Right now I'm kinda interested in Cata but not a lot. Without a surplus of interest from Wulfa I'm very unlikely to return to the game. School kicks up next week. Cannot wait. Even with books being as expensive as they are(and yes th...

Guildless.

Me and Wulfa are now guildless. This came as kinda a shock and with no communication from the deciding party. I'm currently looking for a guild for us. We are not "raiders" and will never be. We do research our gear and fights and in general our classes. We are looking for a guild that we can be a part of, chat with, and not be expected to raid or be on specific times. I think that means we're looking for a "social" guild. We are primarily alliance but once finances get squared away(aka my bonus arrives) we could possibly convert to horde. If anyone knows of any guilds that they would recommend please let us know.
