Oh bother. It's sideways. Anyway, this is INSANITY.
My measurements: 36" chest, 32" waist, 35" hips. Who knew that I was an hourglass shape? I didn't. Weight on Day 1: 130.6 pds.
Damm's measurements: 39.5" chest, 37" waist. Different from the secret numbers he posted because I decided it would be better to measure when we weigh ourselves, which happens to be in the morning. Weight on Day 1: 180.4.
Interesting side note: if you are female, your measurements are called your vital statistics. And for those of us in the West, our vital statistics should be 36-24-36. That's the ultimate in attraction to men. And our Wasit-to-Hip ratio, our WHR, should be 0.7. You get that by dividing your waist measurement by your hip measurement. Mine is 0.9, which is preferred by men in South America and Africa. You can find all this info at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Female_body_shape
In my opinion? All this is baloney. To rate oneself on how you appear to men or anyone else is giving them power over you-i.e. the power of determining your self worth. Of course your loved ones opinions are going to be important and they will have some input, but don't let anyone tell you you aren't beautiful, smart, or anything else enough.
Preaching over and out.

I will note that we are not starting at the same level of fitness. When he first came back from Basic he would've beat my butt into the dust. Since then our schedule has not allowed for him to have an exercise time at the same time everyday like I currently have. This will be changing. And I will also note that the people in the video beat both our butts into the dust. And I had to take a break after the Globe Jumps and Damm soldiered through.
After this Fit Test I spent a good 10 minutes collapsed on the floor. Damm actually was standing.
Throughout the course of our experience I will post weekly updates on both of our vital statistics and our thoughts. Every two weeks we have a Fit Test and I'll also post those. Each of us will also take a turn explaining why we're putting ourselves through this and what we hope to get out of it (two ways to say it but same thing in the end).
