Back to posting.

I’m at the park with the munchkins and wondering to myself if they should have been forced to wear a jacket or if it is perfectly reasonable to let them run around in long sleeve shirts if they aren’t feeling cold.

I mean they are pretty obviously cold right now.  Except any mention of leaving makes them swear they aren’t cold.

Well bother.

I took my jacket off to show that I’m not cold so my parenting choices are valid because I’m not wearing  jacket while they are cold.

I figure when I get so cold that I cannot focus any more it will be time for us to go.  And then we can go to the local bookstore and get hot chocolate.

A complete wonder to me was a joint blogcast/podcast whatever you call it.  Anyways this joint enterprise had Wil Wheaton, John Scalzi, Patrick Ruthfuss and the Bloggess all in one big bunch and a few things struck me.

First, all of them are about 10 years older than me.

Second, they all have kids.

Third, they all expressed a large amount of difficulty in handling life, the universe and everything.  Basically they went over how they felt like they sucked but then they got over it and became awesome.

Oh and the fact that all the people I consider awesome hang out together online in things like this.

Which blows my mind.

And they all seem so personable and normal and not a bit…. like the snobbish professor types I had imagined.  (well except the bloggess and wil wheaton… I imagined him as he is in big bang and I imagined her as someone akin to well… someone Lorelia Gilmore crossed with Cruella Devile’s fashion sense).

And instead they simply seem like the cool kids who are just enough older than me that I can learn from them without them being my parents.

I was greatly cheered by this because secretly I rather constantly believe I suck and am failing at well everything unlike all the successful cheerful perfect people around me that have no problems at all I’m sure.

I love the new backgrounds on the blog.

Oh I'm sure you know this since your lovely wife works at B&N, but the final WOT book came out Tuesday. I'm going to get a copy tomorrow.

The Cat is Out of the Bag

I wonder where that expression comes from? There is this fabulous book that can tell you, only I forgot the name of it. Next time I come across it I think I'm going to have to buy it. Anyway. I was going to wait. A long time. Maybe forever. I don't like people coming up and hugging me, smiling and saying congratulations, or asking me questions. But Damm was talking to his recruiter about insurance. And he mentioned something that he should've told the recruiter was non-repeatable, because 5 minutes later the recruiter told Damm's mother (I have no earthly idea why he's talking to her-I keep forgetting to ask). After that I had to tell my mother. We haven't told any extended family members because there are quite a few here celebrating Damm's mother's graduation and that would be the worst form of torture I can imagine. So yeah, I'm knocked up again :P And this time I'm getting the t-shirt. "It" is due August 11. I have not been to a doc...

Guildless.

Me and Wulfa are now guildless. This came as kinda a shock and with no communication from the deciding party. I'm currently looking for a guild for us. We are not "raiders" and will never be. We do research our gear and fights and in general our classes. We are looking for a guild that we can be a part of, chat with, and not be expected to raid or be on specific times. I think that means we're looking for a "social" guild. We are primarily alliance but once finances get squared away(aka my bonus arrives) we could possibly convert to horde. If anyone knows of any guilds that they would recommend please let us know.

For the Empress and the Motherland

I finally got the gluing done after getting generic brand normal freakin original superglue. Gorilla glue foams and takes 30 min to dry. The guy at hobby lobby obviously misunderstood me or was a complete retard. I'm trying to give him the benefit of the doubt seeing as he was dealing with me in full on manic state. So I'm really excited about my new hobby and cannot wait to start priming and painting. For those that play I'm planning on playing mostly with pIrusk to start but eventually fessing up the money for a jack heavy Karchev list. Because jacks are awesome and -nearly- jack warcasters are also awesome. Anyways thats what Dammy is up to. Our blog has wavered a lot in focus from its origional WoW roots but that is life. Right now I'm kinda interested in Cata but not a lot. Without a surplus of interest from Wulfa I'm very unlikely to return to the game. School kicks up next week. Cannot wait. Even with books being as expensive as they are(and yes th...
