First time for everything

Last night the Orclette wanted grapes. I gave her grapes. Then I noticed the white fuzzy clump of grapes in the middle of the batch I had given her. I figured the ones I gave her were fine, didn't worry overmuch about it.

Then she threw up. First time.

Huge mess over everything. We cleaned up, put a towel under her, tried to go back to sleep. 15 minutes later she threw up again. We removed the towel, put a clean one under. She refused all liquids. This cycle happened 3 times. By the end of it we had run out of towels. In-between throwing up she appeared fine and alert (which is why we didn't run her to the ER). Finally we decided to just stay up with her for awhile since falling asleep seemed to trigger the throw-ups. Put in the movie Tomb Raider, 30 minutes in she had fallen asleep on her daddy's chest. We decided it was safe to fall asleep. And it was ... although apparently she had stuff still to come out but it came out the other way. Anyway, she woke up this morning bright eyed and bushy-tailed. Can't say the same for her parents.

Now to do the laundry. /shudder

Luckily we are still in the diaper stage here and our boy hasn't had the wonderful experience of throwing up yet -baby puke not counted-. That is not a time I look forward to. Glad the little one is doing better though.

Oh, the fuzzy ones are for petting, not eating! Did Orclette at least get to pet the soft fuzzy grapes?

We had my son doing that a month or so back. He was fine all day (although he had a bit of cough), then he'd lie down and go to sleep, and within an hour he'd throw up, once, then be fine for the rest of the night. He did that 3 nights in a row so we took him to his Kiddie Doc on the third day. She said it was the cough making him sick and to just give him some Kid's Tylenol, and after that he was good, but man, that laundry was not a pleasant load.

The Cat is Out of the Bag

I wonder where that expression comes from? There is this fabulous book that can tell you, only I forgot the name of it. Next time I come across it I think I'm going to have to buy it. Anyway. I was going to wait. A long time. Maybe forever. I don't like people coming up and hugging me, smiling and saying congratulations, or asking me questions. But Damm was talking to his recruiter about insurance. And he mentioned something that he should've told the recruiter was non-repeatable, because 5 minutes later the recruiter told Damm's mother (I have no earthly idea why he's talking to her-I keep forgetting to ask). After that I had to tell my mother. We haven't told any extended family members because there are quite a few here celebrating Damm's mother's graduation and that would be the worst form of torture I can imagine. So yeah, I'm knocked up again :P And this time I'm getting the t-shirt. "It" is due August 11. I have not been to a doc...

For the Empress and the Motherland

I finally got the gluing done after getting generic brand normal freakin original superglue. Gorilla glue foams and takes 30 min to dry. The guy at hobby lobby obviously misunderstood me or was a complete retard. I'm trying to give him the benefit of the doubt seeing as he was dealing with me in full on manic state. So I'm really excited about my new hobby and cannot wait to start priming and painting. For those that play I'm planning on playing mostly with pIrusk to start but eventually fessing up the money for a jack heavy Karchev list. Because jacks are awesome and -nearly- jack warcasters are also awesome. Anyways thats what Dammy is up to. Our blog has wavered a lot in focus from its origional WoW roots but that is life. Right now I'm kinda interested in Cata but not a lot. Without a surplus of interest from Wulfa I'm very unlikely to return to the game. School kicks up next week. Cannot wait. Even with books being as expensive as they are(and yes th...
